A new patch for FIFA 21 sees the light of day. Title Update 5 takes care of some bugs and comes up with some changes. See what you can expect from the new update.

EA Sports is still trying to make FIFA 21 a better game. In the last days fans of the sports game have complained about server and connection problems, which isn't anything new. Instead of solving that, the publisher released FIFA 21 Title Update 5, at least on PC.

November 18 Update

EA Sports announced on Twitter that FIFA 21 Title Update 5 is now available for download on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

FIFA 21 Title Update 5

Title Update 5 is not as extensive as the previous patch. You can still expect a few gameplay adjustments and many technical improvements.

You can read the complete patch notes in the EA Sports forum. In a few days the update will be available for download on PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. They're not missing on too much though, so it's fine.

Here are some of the most important updates, fixes and adjustments made within FIFA 21 Title Update 5:

Gameplay

  • Increased the distance that a ball can travel after making contact with the foot or leg of the defender during a blocking animation.
  • Decreased the amount of time the Team Press D-Pad Tactic can be active for, before requiring cooldown, from 30 seconds to 20 seconds.

FUT

  • Club Anthem and Crowd Chant Items can now have their audio previewed on the Bidding Options screen.
  • Adjusted Division Rivals matchmaking logic for Placement Matches in order to further avoid potential Skill Rating disparity when matchmaking.

  • Saved Custom Tactics and Game Plans did not apply in-game.

FIFA 21 Title Update 5 also includes some visual adjustments. For example, 25 new player faces find their way into the game, while a new ping indicator before the game better indicates how good the connection to the opponent really is.

  • 31 to 59 milliseconds - 4 green bars
  • 60 to 99 milliseconds - 3 orange bars
  • 100 to 124 milliseconds - 2 orange bars
