FIFA 22 Tactics: What's New?
The FIFA 21 tactics menu shows defensive and offensive options. This is how it is set up in FIFA 22 as well. So what is going to change? As EA announced in the trailer, the offensive game will be even more pronounced. In concrete terms, this means that there are even more options for your strikers.
So far, two new tactics have been revealed through the beta. The first one: direct passing. Once the team reaches the attacking zone while in possession of the ball, the players create opportunities by making deep runs for passes into the space behind the opposing defensive line. Strikers who are fast and have good attack positioning are ideally suited for this tactic.
The second: forward runs. This tactic pushes the players deep into the attack areas, i.e. if you want to have many players far in front, possibly because you are behind, this tactic offers the possibility of attacking with a lot of players. But if you then lose possession, you could face a counterattack.
Will There Be More New FIFA 22 tactics Coming?
It is still unclear whether further FIFA 22 tactics, such as defensive, will come. Since there were only two new ones to be found in the beta, it is quite possible that further tactics and instructions will expand the game in the full version.
