Atalanta are enjoying their most successful years ever, led by captain Alejandro Gómez. The veteran midfielder's qualities have been spotted by EA Sports who made him the strongest central midfielder in Serie A.
7. GIORGIO CHIELLINI (Juventus/Piemonte Calcio) – 87 OVR
The first of many Juventus, or if you prefer – Piemonte Calcio players on the list and another captain. Chiellini is, alongside backup goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, all that's left of the Juventus team that played in Serie B 15 years ago. At 36, he remains one of the best CBs in the world and in FIFA 21.
6. WOJCIECH SZCȨSNY (Juventus/Piemonte Calcio) – 87 OVR
Juve's starting GK makes it onto the list. The Polish international has lowkey been one of the more solid keepers this past decade and as he's only just entering his 30s, so he should be good for a few more years.
5. CIRO IMMOBILE (Lazio) – 87 OVR
Scoring the most goals last season is apparently not enough to get the highest FIFA rating this season. Immobile is only the third-best Serie A striker in FIFA 21, but he is the best outside of Juventus, which is almost like being first, so there's that.
4. KALIDOU KOULIBALY (Napoli) – 88 OVR
Koulibaly has been rumored to leave Napoli for the past couple of years. He's stayed for another season and EA Sports have rewarded him with the best rating for a center back in the entirety of Serie A.
3. SAMIR HANDANOVIĆ (Inter) – 88 OVR
After the best CB in Serie A, we have the best GK in Serie A. Not everyone good is at Juventus. We're surprised too! If Szcęsny has been a solid GK, Handanović has the case for the most underrated shot-stopper of the 2010s. He was great back in his Udinese days and it's good to see he's been recognized in the twilight of his career.
2. PAULO DYBALA (Juventus/Piemonte Calcio) – 88 OVR
Not all the best Serie A players are at Juve, but the very best are. Dybala is part of the best striking partnership in the Italian league and one of the best in FIFA 21 overall. He still trails his partner by quite a lot, which is understandable when that striking partner is...
1. CRISTIANO RONALDO (Juventus/Piemonte Calcio) – 92 OVR
The undisputed king of Serie A FIFA 21 ratings – Cristiano Ronaldo! Not that anyone is surprised. Even at 35, the Portuguese goal machine can turn any game on its head by himself. Maybe age will finally catch up to him and things will be different in FIFA 22. As far as FIFA 21 is concerned, though, he's by far the best player in Italy.
