Fortnite Hype Nite is coming your way. The event will be taking place each Sunday from September 20 to 27 for anyone to enter. The event is open to all players and does not require anyone to have any Hype beforehand! The tournament is in a trios format since the whole season will focus on Trios.

The Fortnite Hype Nite will be held across all platforms, PC, mobile and console for their player base to gain some much needed Hype. The tournament will occur across one round, so anyone competing has to be ready from the get-go.

The top ranked teams will be awarded Hype for their efforts during the tournament. According to the rules on Fortnite’s website being ranked amongst the top 1% at the conclusion of the applicable session you’ll be rewarded with 500 Hype Points (1,500 per team). The top 5% will get 375 (1,125 per team).

You can track your quest for Hype on the official Hype Tracker of the Fortnite website which gets updated live to track each competitor and the amount of points they’ve gathered.

This is the amount of Hype you can score:

  • Victory Royale: 35 Points
  • 2nd: 29 Points
  • 3rd: 26 Points
  • 4th: 23 Points
  • 5th: 20 Points
  • 6th - 8th: 17 Points
  • 9th - 11th: 14 Points
  • 12th - 14th: 11 Points
  • 15th - 17th: 9 Points
  • 18th - 20th: 7 Points
  • 21st - 23rd: 5 Points
  • 24th - 26th: 3 Points
  • 27th - 29th: 2 Points
  • 30th: 1 Point
  • Each Elimination: 1 point

So just playing for placement can already gain you a whopping 35 points. Add in the additional points for eliminations – without a cap this time around and you can really shoot up the rankings.
