Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is finally here and brings not only an exciting new theme to the Battle Royale but also new characters, weapons, and locations!
There are really a lot of new things... so let’s dive right in!
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4: Map
The map has changed once again with Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom! and brought some exciting new locations. Of course, all fitting the theme of "Doctor Doom & Marvel". Here are all the new locations awaiting you:
- Castle Doom + nearby landmark Doom’s Courtyard
- Doomstadt + nearby landmark “Fractured Four”
- The Raft
All these new locations fit the theme perfectly and look quite exciting! Where will you land first?
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4: Battle Pass
Those who purchase the new Battle Pass can now add many new Marvel characters to their collection! Here are all the unlockable skins from the Battle Pass:
- Gwenpool (unlocked immediately upon purchase!)
- War Machine
- Schalverine
- Emma Frost
- Captain Jones
- Mysterio
- Shuri
Later in the season, you’ll also have the chance to unlock the “Doom” outfit through Battle Pass missions!
The Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks as always, and within the Battle Pass, you can earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks, so it’s worth it! You’ll be able to make progress in the Battle Pass until November 2, 2024, at 2 AM ET.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4: New Gameplay Features
It also looks like the core gameplay is getting a bit of a shake-up. In Chapter 5 Season 4, there are the following major changes:
War Machines Arsenal, Auto Turret & War Machines Jet Packs
It’s time to step into the cutting edge of human-platform weapon systems. Unleash a hailstorm of bullets and rockets at your enemies with War Machine’s Arsenal, shoulder-mount War Machine’s Auto Turret for supporting fire, and turn the tide of battle from above with War Machine’s Hover Jets.
New Medallions
In Season 4, the old medallions are gone, but there are 3 brand-new ones that provide the following effects:
- Siphon Medallion (Defeat Doombot - in the throne room of Castle Doom): Grants health and shield to siphon when you eliminate enemies
- Stealth Medallion (Defeat Mysterio - Doomstadt): Temporarily grants invisibility while crouching.
- Reveal Medallion (Defeat Emma Frost - The Raft): Occasionally reveals the location of nearby enemies
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4: New Weapons
In fact, the weapon pool for Season 4 hasn’t changed significantly. Only a few new mythical weapons have been added, and some old ones have been brought out of the vault.
