Epic Games is planning an enormous New Year's event for Fortnite and recent leaks suggest it will be quite memorable.
If you don't have anything to do this year due to a certain pandemic, watch out! Here comes everything we know so far about the Fortnite New Year's Eve 2021 event and what might happen!
Alternate realities
As Chapter 2, Season 5 is modeled after Zero Point, players might see alternate realities during the New Year event in Fortnite.
Epic already introduced the concept of portals via The Walking Dead and The Avengers in the current season of Fortnite. The New Year event in Fortnite would be a good way to let players uncover more secrets of Zero Point.
Disco Disco, Party Party!
As every year, a disco ball will probably appear in the game to get the players warmed up for the event. During that time, the players can emote and dance away without having to panic about being surprised and shot down from the side.

Star appearances
There could also be a guest appearance from a popular artist during the New Year event in Fortnite. This year, we already got appearances from artists such as Steve Aoki, deadmau5 and Dillon Francis or BTS. Maybe players will be able to gather in the mode shortly before midnight and party together while listening to a live act.

New Year Challenges
As with many other events in Fortnite, we might get some cool challenges with party-like rewards this year. Even though we already have a lot to do with the weeklies - as well as the Operation Snowdown challenges, no one would mind some free rewards to get us in a party mood.

A big fireworks display
The New Year event in Fortnite will begin on 1 January 2021 at 12pm EST. If you don't get to shoot some rockets into the air in real life, why not watch the spectacle in Fortnite?

To be fair, none of these leaks have been officially confirmed by Epic Games yet. But if we look back at the past years, we can be sure that Fortnite will definitely have something up its sleeve for us. We are excited and hope that the New Year event in Fortnite will be a great success!
