Ah, the crossovers in Fortnite. The past year added hundreds of new skins from movies, video games, comic books, and even novels. Now it might be time for SEGA's mascot – Sonic.
Season 7: Invasion is currently underway in Fortnite, and it brought numerous new elements into the game – weapons, UFOs, new characters, and most importantly, skins. After all, if there's one thing Fortnite is famous for, it's the insane number of skins. The latter are usually the result of collaborations with various pop icons, artists, sports players, video games, and everything in between.

At the time of writing, numerous superhero skins are flooding the Fortnite item shop and there seems to be no end to the comic book crossovers. Is it time for something different? Something blue and fast? Addicted to golden rings? According to a new leak, Sonic the Hedgehogmight be coming to Fortnite next.
Is Sonic Coming to Fortnite?
According to a leak, it looks like Sonic will soon come to Fortnite. If you're tired of superheroes as much as I am (not only in Fortnite), you'll probably be overjoyed to know that a true gaming legend might be coming to Fortnite. Famous Fortnite data miner HYPEX revealed some interesting findings in the game's files.
There's an unreleased contrail for a skin codenamed Sonic and it uses Raz' ribbons around his arms, and the color is PINK.

Now, this is by no means a guarantee that Sonicthe Hedgehog is coming to Fortnite, so take it with a grain of salt. It could be just a variation of Raz with "Sonic" in its name.

Then again, we've already had famous heroes from other games make their way into Fortnite. At some point, Samus Aran from Metroid was supposed to get a Fortnite skin, but according to a leak, that was canceled as Epic didn't manage to get the rights.
Sources tell me that a Metroid (Samus Aran) collaboration will not happen next season.Apparently, Epic wasn't able to obtain the rights to put her in the game.

Something similar might happen with Sonic, so let's keep our fingers crossed. If Sonic makes it into Fortnite, there's a high chance we'll also see some other characters from the series, like Tails or Knuckles.
Upcoming Sonic Show Hints at a Multiverse
In case you didn't know, Sonicis getting a new show on Netflix called "Sonic Prime". It'll feature our favorite hedgehog and the synopsis describes it as a "high octane adventure" following Sonic and his race to save a "strange new multiverse". This multiverse is an excellent opportunity to get Sonic into Fortnite!
