More and more characters from series, movies, or other games appear as skins in Fortnite. To make sure you don't lose track of the story behind the characters, we'll keep you up to date. Our weekly series returns with a really nice collaboration between Epic Games and the movie Dune. They put a Paul Atreides skin into Fortnite.
Fortnite Skin Paul Atreides
Paul Atreides is the main character from a remake of Dune, an American epic science fiction film set in 2021. Set in the distant future, the film follows Paul as he and his family, the noble House Atreides, are drawn into a war over the dangerous desert planet of Arrakis between the indigenous Fremen people and the hostile invaders, House Harkonnen.
Inspired by this year's movie, Dune, Paul and Chani are lovers, and both were in Fortnite's item store along with more Dune gear. Paul is embodied by American actor Timothée Chalamet.
How to get the Paul Atreides Skin in Fortnite?
The Paul Atreides Skin was added to Fortnite on October 20, 2021, as part of the Dune Set in Chapter 2, Season 8 with Patch 18.20. It is available every now and then in the Fortnite item store and can be purchased exclusively here.
How much does the Paul Atreides skin cost in Fortnite?
You can buy the Paul Atreides skin in the Fortnite Item Shop individually for 1,500 V-Bucks. The skin is also available within the Dune set with other Cosmetics for 2,000 V-Bucks. You can also get the Dune gear pack for 1,500 V-Bucks.
What Cosmetics are included in the Dune set?
Paul Atreides is part of the Dune set in Fortnite. The following Cosmetics are included in it:
Outfit Paul Atreides
Beyond the fear, his destiny awaits.
Paul is the main character of Dune. In Fortnite, besides his normal style, he has another one where he wears his mask over his mouth. He also looks insanely similar to the actor Timothee Chalamet.
Capable warrior and experienced survivor of the Fremen.
The skin Chani looks insanely similar to Zendaya. She wears the same outfit as in Dune. She has her hair tied up, always ready for a fight alongside Paul.
Offensive flying machine with many wings.
The Ornithopter is perfect for flying over the deserts. There is only a very small desert section in Fortnite, but hey, if a sandstorm should ever come up, at least you're well-equipped.
Back Bling Fremkit
Essential for survival in the harsh conditions of the desert planet Dune.
The back accessories from the Dune set are also very similar to the original. However, it is a bit large, and we personally find the skins without it almost nicer.
Back Accessory Chani's Equipment
Chani's own Fremkit.
We had to look twice to see the difference between Chani's kit and the Fremkit. Honestly, Epic could have tried a little harder on this one.
Emote Sand Walk
Walk like the natives of Arrakis.
The emote lets you carefully drag yourself across the desert. Or across the ground, depending on where you are. Admittedly not the coolest emote in Fortnite, but out of boredom, you can use it once in a while.
Pickaxe Twin Daggers
The preferred weapon of the warriors of House Atreides.
Unlike the back accessories, the harvesting tools are a lot cooler. The twin daggers look good not only in the hands of Chani and Paul, but on almost every skin of Fortnite.
Pickaxe Bringer Hook
Hook of the Fremen for riding sandworms.
What's better than one good hook? That's right, two. This double harvesting tool is perfect for mining some materials in Fortnite. Now if you could also climb in Fortnite, we would have the ideal tool here as well.
