After great success last year, Razer has now announced that the Razer Invitational Europe (RI-Europe) will return on October 14, 2021. The digital event is the largest EU-based esports tournament of its kind. And this year, RI-Europe will include both mobile and PC gaming to give even more players the opportunity to compete on a professional level. In the grand finale, there will be both hardware and cash prizes to win, and the audience can look forward to a ton of giveaways.
The event, which will take place from October 14 to November 7, will open with the mobile shooter Brawl Stars. This is then followed by a few weeks of intensive PC-based competitions for games like Fortnite and Valorant.
Four Weeks Of Intense Competition And Great Prizes
This year's RI-Europe is divided into four week-long stages.
In each tournament, up to 9,000 participants will compete for cash and hardware prizes from Razer and Intel™. The competitions end in a grand finale, with cash and hardware prizes worth more than 20,000 euros. There are tournaments every week, with qualifications and playoffs taking place on the first Fridays and Saturdays of each week, and the exciting finale reaching its climax on Sunday.
Razer Invitational's History
Razer Invitational Europe is taking place for the second time in a row. The 2020 Razer Invitational Season was a huge success, drawing in fans across Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. 22 nations took part and almost 60,000 gamers took the opportunity to compete on an international level.
But it would be boring if Razer didn't do one better, so Razer Invitational Season 2021 has increased the stakes even further: with more regions, more games, and more participants. After the hugely popular Razer Invitationals in North America, the Middle East, and Latin America, Razer Invitational Europe 2021 is now the fourth event of the Razer Invitational Season 2021.
