Epic Games just announced the release of a new outfit for Ryan Reynolds's character 'Free Man' in Fortnite. Fortnite's Free Man is a collaboration with a film of the same name. In addition to the new outfit, there will be quests you can do inspired by Free Man that will reward you with a cool emote. Right, enough babble, let's get into the details!
It feels like years since going to the cinema was a normal or even done thing. But no, we're back. The pandemic (fingers-crossed) is slowly fading from our lives. And one of the hottest new films is a Ryan Reynolds flick called Free Guy.
To put it briefly, Free Guy is about a bank teller called Guy who realizes he's a background character in an open-world video game called Free City that will soon go offline. It looks like good fun. And if you've played Fortnite for any length of time, you know they wouldn't miss the opportunity to get in on a collaboration with the star. Well, they've done just that.
Free Guy's Quests
Free Guy's quests will be available to complete in Fortnite from today and will have you zipping over town to the ATMs. Epic Games didn't give an awful lot away, but they did say this much:
In case you didn’t know, Guy’s really busy trying to save Free City. So while he doesn’t get to ride the Battle Bus, he’s still committed to making a special appearance. Search for ATM machines and follow Guy’s instructions to complete the newly-released Free Guy Quests.
...and you're reward? The Good Guy emote, which will be fully localized into the game.
Note: The quests are only available between August 12 and September 6.

Free Guy's 'Dude' outfit will be available in the item shop at 20:00 ET (17:00 PT, 01:00 BST, 02:00 CEST) today, August 12 at the time of writing. So make sure you don't miss out - this isn't the coolest character we've ever had, but it's Ryan Reynolds, so come on people!
