Six months after taking a leave of absence from Fortnite streaming, Tfue has made a return after Season 5 launched in early December. The return is a monumental moment, as Tfue used to be more-or-less the face of Fortnite, thanks to his insane skill and mainstream entertainment draw.

Following the Galactus event, we finally find ourselves entering Season 5 of Fortnite. With all the exciting additions being put into the game, it seems Tfue is made a return to streaming for the first time in six months! We don’t know about you, but we’ve missed the dude's Fortnite content, and really enjoyed jumping into his stream.

It’s very exciting to see Tfue returning to Twitch, but there was a lot of skepticism over his return, with many fans tweeting “Bet” in response to his announcement Tweet. That skepticism turned out to be ill-founded, as the stream was real and got some pretty sweet viewership numbers!

Whether this sees a longer-term return to streaming Fortnite for Tfue is yet to be seen, as he cited burnout being among the reasons that he quit streaming. In the same statement, back in October, he said “two years of cranking 90s was just too much. I had to spice it up and play other things”. Perhaps we could see him continuing to stream other games? Perhaps he’s over his slump and ready to jump into season 5! We’ll let you know, of course.

Burnout is pretty normal for streamers; who wouldn’t eventually get sick of playing the same game on repeat? Not to mention, always trying to always be entertaining, and always trying to stay on top of your game.

Streamers like Tfue also draw a lot of traffic to the games they play through their skills, expertise, and charisma, so it is no surprise that it can be a lot of pressure! Tfue was possibly the most famous Fortnite Twitch Streamer for a time, so it’s not so surprising that, with the allure of Season 5 in his sights, Tfue has been drawn back into the game.

Turner “Tfue” Tenney quit Fortnite for other games like CoD: Warzone. The mass exodus of streamers from Epic Games’ battle royale has presented questions over Fortnite’s future longevity as the streaming powerhouse it has been the last few years.
