Fortnite's legend Zayt has only recently returned from his Fortnite hiatus, but now he wants to retire from the game for the second time this year. And it seems that we will now have to say goodbye to the Fortnite pro for good.

Professional Fortnite player Williams "Zayt" Aubin shocked many fans on Twitch and Twitter. The Fortnite tournament winner reported back on Twitch after a two-week Fortnite break, during which he already announced that he had to think about his future with Fortnite.

Although he only returned from a major hiatus at the end of January, those who idolize Zayt as a competitor received the shocking news that he will now be retiring from competitive Fortnite indefinitely.

Is Zayt retiring from competitive Fortnite?

The 21-year-old Fortnite pro explained his reasons for wanting to retire from competitive Fortnite live on his Twitch channel. Clips from Zayt's second retirement stream revealed that he simply doesn't enjoy playing Fortnite competitively anymore, which was a major contributing factor to his decision in January.

I'm going to focus more on things I want to do and love and not force myself to play a game I hate or stream something I don't want to stream.

Shortly after, he took to Twitter to inform his nearly 600k followers of his plans.

This is the second time Zayt has quit Fortnite, having done the same in early January due to a lack of motivation. His initial resignation seemed more like a time-out. But now his decision seems to be final.

Will Zayt never play Fortnite again?

Don't worry, Zayt plans to continue playing Fortnite alongside Valorant. Just no longer competitively. He also expressed on Twitter that he could imagine live coaching or instructional videos for future Cash Cups.

Epic Games' investment has led to competitive Fortnite becoming an incredibly lucrative esports scene. Even though there is now one less of the best Fortnite players in the world out there.
