How To Get String: Walkthrough
1. Collect Plant Fibers
You can collect Plant Fibers directly from small bushes, which can be found anywhere on the map. You can also tear out dead vegetables on abandoned farms, but these are less common.
Here are how the dead vegetables and small bushes appear in game:
You will occasionally find giant stacks of Plant Fiber in abandoned warehouses. These can be destroyed for dozens of pieces of Plant Fiber at a time, but you will have to get lucky to find these stacks.
2. Craft String
Now that you have three pieces of Plant Fiber, you can go into your crafting menu (Press V), select String from the Resources section, and craft. You can do this anywhere in the world and there are no requirements or tools to make String, provided you have at least three pieces of Plant Fiber in your inventory.
You will need lots of String in Enshrouded, so we suggest collecting tons of Plant Fiber at a time and then mass crafting String.
String can also be randomly found in the world, like all items in the game, but it's a lot easier to just learn how to make String instead of hoping to find it.
