2. Almudron - this serpent-like wyvern will throw mud at you with its tail - wouldn't have guessed that with that picture, right? Almudron will try everything to slow you down and while that might not sound so threatening, being stunned while that thing comes charging at you? Wouldn't recommend it. (Credit: Capcom)
3. Bishaten - an ape that will throw fruit at you sounds like something you could make fun of, but you won't laugh when he hits you with said fruits. Bishaten's fruits have different effects depending on the color and trust us when we say: no color of fruit is beneficial for you. (Credit: Capcom)
4. Goss Harag - okay, get this: Goss Harag will make icy blades from its bodily fluids. Which bodily fluids, you might ask? No, you don't get an answer, because you don't want to know when he actually manages to get a hit at you. (Credit: Capcom)
5. Great Izuchi - don't underestimate its power. Despite its size, the Great Izuchi is incredibly agile and will take you down if you're too confident. Hunts in packs, so that's always super annoying. (Credit: Capcom)
6. Magnamalo - Magnamalo is Monster Hunter Rise's flagship monster for a reason. If you think you can take him down with one good combo, then you are sadly mistaken. Capcom wouldn't just put ANY monster as the face of their campaign. (Credit: Capcom)
7. Rakna-Kadaki - there's no game without a spider monster and that's Rakna-Kadaki for you. Attacking you with its sticky webs and immobilizing you, before attacking you with fire beams and burning gas. Cool right? Want to know what's even cooler? 8. Somnacanth - a mermaid wyvern that will make you have nightmares. Quite literally. Its attacks will make you fall asleep and then die due to Somnacanth's surprise attacks. So keep your eyes wide open. (Credit: Capcom)
9. Tetranadon - everyone had a nightmare like this at one point in their lives. Being swallowed up by a big crocodile/toad. No? Just me? Alright, then. (Credit: Capcom)
