The drama surrounding Colleen Ballinger, known for the comedic character Miranda Sings she created and portrayed on YouTube since 2008, seems to never come to an end. If you happen to be one of the people who have no idea what I'm talking about, check out our comprehensive rundown of the events:

TL;DR: Colleen was facing several grooming allegations over the span of a couple of years, sang her infamous ukulele-apology-song, disappeared for several months from the internet, and eventually came back a few weeks ago, acting as if nothing had happened. That was about to change.

In a recent Vlog on her channel "Colleen Vlogs" she answered questions her viewers asked, one being "Wondering if you'll ever feel comfortable talking about the audition you had before your break," referring to the "break" Colleen took after the allegations hit their peak. The trained singer then claims she lost the role for a Broadway show. If you want to see for yourself, what she said, skip to 12:29:

According to her, the audition initially went quite good for her, being actually chosen to perform in New York. She doesn't go into detail about what exactly happened after that, but her choice of words shows that she still hasn't acknowledged the grooming allegations.

"I'm not going to get super into it, but like you know, obviously a lot happened last year. A lot was said last year. I lost that opportunity right after a story came out about me that was just completely made up."

It's written in the stars, whether it is actually true that her YouTube scandal was the only reason for her losing the Broadway role, for we only have Colleens side of the story. And there are definitely reasons not to take everything a big YouTuber says at face value.
