It's time for a new HoYoverse game, and I bet no one is ready for what's about to come! Their newest project is called Zenless Zone Zero and will be released during 2024! And even if we still have to wait a little longer for the game's official launch, there is already so much to explore. Let's dive straight into it!
I bet I'm not the only one who is absolutely stoked to find out more about the upcoming HoYoverse game called Zenless Zone Zero! And it looks like HoYoverse has once again outdone itself with this game, which is offering a completely new world, a fun and exciting combat system and once again some amazing looking characters, which will most likely be obtainable through a gacha system!
If you haven’t heard anything about the game so far, then this article will help you fall in love with the most recent HoYoverse project. Let's not waste any more time!
Zenless Zone Zero: Estimated Release Date
We should sort out the most important thing first: When will we be able to play the game for ourselves?
Unfortunately, Hoyoverse has yet to announce the official Zenless Zone Zero release date. However, we do know, that it will be launched during 2024. Furthermore, we speculate that the game will release either during Spring of 2024 or Fall 2024, since all HoYoverse games have been launched during those seasons!
Zenless Zone Zero Will Have Different Agents & Factions
Other than in HoYoverse's previous games, the playable characters will be named “Agents”. They will most likely be obtainable through a gacha system, since this is HoYoverse's preferred method of monetization.
As of right now, there is a total of twelve confirmed agents, which can be played during the equalization test. They all have great character designs and from what we can see in the available trailers, they all have super unique fighting techniques!
Just as in Honkai Impact 3rd, all agents will have a type, which will determine your team constellation and will play an important role when it comes to combat.
Next to that, each agent belongs to a faction. There are five of these factions right now, and all of them have different values and guiding principles:
- Section 6 – Eradicate all evil. We decide for ourselves what “evil” is.
- Belobog Heavy Industries – Our goal is not to build a house, but a home.
- Victoria Housekeeping Co. – Your wish is our command.
- Cunning Hares/Gentle House – The Cunning Hares are always available for the right price!
- OBOLS Squad – An unknown group of soldiers
Unfortunately, we don’t know what kind of impact the factions will have on the gameplay or if they are just meant for world and story building.
The Combat System Looks Really Exciting
Onto the probably most important thing: the fighting system! It doesn’t matter how cool a character looks, if they can’t fight properly the game won’t be fun at all.
Luckily, HoYoverse has decided for a super fun and engaging real-time combat, which they already used in one of their first releases: Honkai Impact 3rd. That means: You will have three main abilities (E, Q, R), a dodge and, of course, an auto attack.
Until this point, all Genshin players should be fine as well. However, there is a crucial difference if you compare the Zenless Zone Zero combat to that which Genshin Impact has: Combos!
In Zenless Zone Zero, mindless button smashing won’t get you anywhere. You have to actively time your spells, pay attention to your combo of normal attacks, decide when to hold an ability and mindfully combine your them with dodges in order to release an even more powerful attack.
And all of that should be done without getting hit by a single enemy, since HoYoverse is done playing games and made the opponents much harder than in games like Genshin or Star Rail!
