With Wicked: For Good set to land in theatres on November 20, 2025, CinemaCon audiences got an exclusive first look at the sequel. New footage introduced Dorothy for the first time and teased a more emotional continuation of Elphaba and Glina's story. Both Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo shared how the second chapter goes deeper into the characters' inner conflicts, emotions and the growing tension between their characters as everything around them falls apart.
Jurassic World Rebirth — New Era, New Lead, Same Dinosaurs
CinemaCon offered a first look at the Jurassic World: Rebirth, the next chapter in the beloved franchise, set five sears after Dominion. This time, Scarlett Johansson steps in as Zora Bennett, a scientist on a mission to recover dinosaur DNA — shifting the focus from survival to science. The footage shown didn't go for big spectacle right away — instead, it felt more focused and a little colder. It's not trying to top the last film with bigger explosions and tries to take the franchise in a different direction. The Beatles Biopics — Four Movies, One Massive Story And Many Memes
Sam Mendes is going big with the Beatles. Four separate biopics, each from a different band member's perspective, are all set to release in April 2028. Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan and Joseph Quinn are set to each play one of the Beatles band members. The reaction? A lot of valid criticism around the missing Liverpool roots and concern for the accents, and even more memes. Barry Keoghan got most of the heat — his casting as Ringo Starr led to a lot of jokes (some hilarious, some downright brutal). Love it or not — it's already in motion, and the memes might be doing the best for marketing so far.

Animated Sequels made some serious noise at this year's CinamaCon. From childhood classics to recent hits — here are some highlights.
Ice Age 6: A new film in the series is set for December 2026, featuring the return of the original voice cast.
Shrek 5: Officially confirmed as a Christmas 2026 release. And this time, Zendaya joins the cast as Felicia, Shrek and Fiona's daughter.
Minions 3: Universal officially confirmed Minions 3 at CinemaCon, with a release date set for July 2026. Not much is known yet, but the yellow agents of chaos are returning next summer.
Super Mario Bros 2: After the massive success of the 2023 film, Mario and Luigi are coming back for a second Super Mario Bros movie. The sequel is set for April 2026.
