Stunt performer Olivia Jackson collided with a camera crane while riding a motorcycle, suffering catastrophic injuries that eventually required the amputation of her left arm. The alleged human deaths in *Cannibal Holocaust* were convincing special effects, despite the legend that its director faced an actual murder trial. Taylor Hickson questioned whether a glass door was safe before director Pascal Laugier instructed her to strike it harder for an emotionally charged scene. The door shattered, and the actress fell through it, suffering a deep facial wound that required roughly 70 stitches and left permanent scarring.
