The record-breaking game Black Myth: Wukong was released for PS5 and PC, but it's still not available on Xbox. Will it ever get an Xbox release?
Black Myth: Wukong is one of the biggest successes of the year, with over 2.4 million concurrent players on Steam at its peak. Unfortunately, though, it's not available on Xbox. Will we get an Xbox port soon?
Black Myth: Wukong In A "Baldur's Gate 3 Situation"
First things first, the good news. Black Myth: Wukong will almost certainly be released on Xbox, hence, in one of the earlier trailers, you can see the Xbox logo at the end. The bad news is that the release will take a while, due to technical issues.
As reported by Forbes, the Black Myth: Wukong Xbox port is apparently facing "a Baldur's Gate 3 situation". Baldur's Gate 3 was officially released for PC on August 3, 2023, and for PS5 on September 6, 2023. Xbox players had to wait three months until December 8, 2023, the game. It seems like the developers had more problems with the Xbox port of the game than with PS5. And the same thing is reportedly happening to Black Myth: Wukong.
As it stands, there's no official release date for the Xbox, but our guess is that it'll be at least three months like Baldur's Gate. The lack of inclusion of the Xbox release in the marketing campaign before the release makes us think it'll take that long.
