Saudi Arabia's "Gamers8" event has evolved into the "Esports World Cup". With dozens of titles and a prize pool of $60 million, this festival is trying to position itself as the event for esports. Here is the complete list of games that will feature in the Esports World Cup, as well the schedule.

Esports is very much still in its adolescence, and as the industry moves from the grassroots to the professional, a few growing pains have become obvious. One of the biggest challenges is that esports is divided between smaller communities of individual games, with many of them not garnering enough fans on their own to be profitable. But what if these communities could be brought together, and broadcasting resources could be shared?

This is the vision of the Esports World Cup. Bring all the disparate esports communities together for a festival of gaming tournaments in a single location — namely Riyadh — and hope to create a kind of cross-pollination, with fans buying tickets for their favorite game, but experimenting with others at the event.

It's certainly an ambitious idea, but they've already secured some great games for the 2024 event, which begins on July 3. Check out all the confirmed games, and the schedule details we know so far, below.

Esports World Cup: Prize Pool

And last, but most certainly not least, let's talk about that whopping $60 million prize pool. So far, we don't know how it will be broken down by each game (we expect it will basically come down to how big each game is and how big the viewership is expected to be). However, we do already know that a million has been set aside just for the MVPs of each tournament.
