Hulu is one of the biggest (and in our opinion best) streaming platforms out there, with a ton of great content added every single month. Here are the new shows and movies you can watch this month. You can also find a list of everything being removed further down.
While Hulu hasn't produced anything at the scale of Prime's Rings of Power or Netflix's Stranger Things yet, they have done a great job of delivering consistently strong content. And they've kept that record up month after month.
Here is a complete rundown of all the Hulu Originals coming to the platform this month, as well as all the third-party shows and movies that are being added. We've also included a complete list of everything being removed this month.
New Hulu Originals In September 2024
September 2024 will not be remembered as one of the better months for Hulu, but it's not terrible:
Tell Me Lies (Season 2) – Wednesday, September 4
Tell Me Lies is a drama series about Lucy and Stephen's turbulent romance over eight years, beginning in college.
Created by Meaghan Oppenheimer, it premiered in 2022 and was good enough to be renewed for a second season in 2024. So you know it can't be terrible.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives – Friday, September 6
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is a Hulu reality series following eight LDS mom influencers from Utah, navigating life after a viral swinging scandal. It explores their lives, TikTok fame, sponsorships, and modern religious motherhood content. You read that right.
How To Die Alone – Friday, September 13
How to Die Alone is a comedy series by Natasha Rothwell, which follows Mel, a broke JFK airport employee who, after a near-death experience, decides to transform her life.
We expect this one to be decent based on the trailer.Child Star – Tuesday, September 17

What's The Best New Thing On Hulu This Month?
The best new thing on Hulu in September 2024 is probably The Old Man, a show from FX, about a former-CIA agent being hunted down by the organization he once worked for. The "action hero in retirement" thing is usually pretty cringe, but here it works surprisingly well. But be aware, this is the second season releasing on Hulu, so go back and watch Season 1 first.
