Moana 2 is soon coming to our theater screens! In this article, we’ll dive into everything we know so far about Moana 2—from potential plot details and returning cast members to the release date this year.

The ocean is calling once again, and fans are excited to see Moana back in action! Moana 2 has officially been confirmed, and it promises to be another breathtaking journey with our favorite wayfinder.

Set three years after the events of the first movie, Moana’s new adventure will take her far beyond her home island, Motunui. This time, she’s called by her ancestors to explore deeper, more dangerous waters in Oceania.

Moana 2: Release Date

Moana 2 will be released on November 27, 2024. The movie will most likely come to Disney+ a few months after its theatrical release. We expect it to come to streaming services in the beginning of 2025.

Moana 2: What the Plot is about

As revealed in the trailers, Moana and Maui are called by her ancestors to break the god of storms Nalo's curse on the hidden island of Motufetu, which once connected the people of the ocean, they confront old and new foes, including the Kakamora and underworld goddess Matangi.

Moana 2: Cast

Prepare to be reunited with our beloved Polynesian princess, which will be voiced once again by Auliʻi Cravalho. Also, Dwayne Johnson is taking his role as Maui, the powerful demigod.

Moana's little sister Simea, which we saw in the trailer, will be played by Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda and all the rest of the family will bring back the original cast: Temuera Morrison as Chief Tui (Moana's father), Nicole Scherzinger as Sina (Moana's mother) and Rachel House as Tala (Moana’s grandmother).

And not to forget, Alan Tudyk will be back to cover his role as the greatest chicken of all time, Hei Hei.
