The new TOTW Moments squad is breaking the trend as we now have two consecutive teams with actual quality in them for the first time since the format’s introduction five weeks ago. Having Lionel Messi on the roster is always a great start, but TOTW Moments 5 has a bit more to offer still.

Barcelona boosts TOTW Moments 5 value to the clouds

Thus far, TOTW Moments squads have been hit or miss. The odd numbered teams were crap, the even numbered were, well, not as crap. For the first time since team 1 the publisher went back to a year other than 2019 and it paid off big time. To see a fairly decent pack this week is a pleasant surprise that should not have been one in the first place if EA knew what they were doing.

So, what do you do when you don’t know what you are doing? You get Carter! I mean Messi! You get 2017 Messi, to be exact. Yep, the Argentinian magician comes to save the day with a tasty 97-rated card which you’re probably never gonna get, but that’s life. If Messi is too far out of reach, you can always hope to get a hold of his teammate in goal – Marc-André ter Stegen. The German shot stopper is pretty much the Messi of FIFA 20 goalkeepers, so figuratively speaking you have a double chance of landing Leo this week.

The Messi brothers are part of the following TOTW Moments roster:

  • GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 92 OVR (Barcelona)
