Even though this patch won’t affect pro play Riot is still making changes to the current meta. These changes will affect those who are trying to desperately climb before the end of the season. The jungle is once again heavily in focus with the upcoming Patch 10.21.

Samira will be seeing a slight nerf in this patch. She has a pretty high win rate for a brand new champion and the developers have kept their eye on her after she’d had a quick fix right after her debut.

Three jungle champions are on the list to be nerfed. Hecarim, Nidalee, and Graves. The latter two have seen a lot of action during the world championship, making them quite popular even in Solo Queue. The numbers aren’t out yet, so we will just have to see what is going to happen to these junglers.

Our favorite niche-support will also be seeing a nerf. Support Pantheon will also be hit with Patch 10.21.

Champs which are going to be buffed are Lee Sin, Udyr, Corki, Karma, Trundle, and Aphelios. All except Lee Sin have abysmal play rates and buffing them might make them a little more popular. Their win rates also sit under 50% so Riot is hoping to bring this up as well.

Udyr is getting a second buff within a few patches. Maybe it’ll get the melee jungler out of the dumpster, but we will have to wait and see. His kit is quite outdated, and he is basically only played by Udyr one-tricks.

Patch 10.21 is going to go live October 14. Once we’ve got all the details on the nitty-gritty details of this upcoming patch, we will surely let you know so make sure to keep checking out EarlyGame.
