The whispers that Ignacio “meyern” Meyer’s future with Made in Brazil is in serious doubt got confirmed today by the organization. The Argentinian has been moved to the bench in order to make room for Alencar “trk” Rossato, thus bringing mibr to an all-Brazilian lineup once again.

Roster changes Made in Brazil

The instability of Made in Brazil’s roster outside of the Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga and Epitacio “TACO” de Melo core has been well documented. With the fourth constant on that team – Marcelo “coldzera” David’s departure last year, the team’s search for long-term solutions became even more difficult.

Vito “kNgV” Giuseppe has somewhat established himself as the new consistent 4th on the team, but meyern didn’t have the same luck as No. 5. The 17-year-old Argentinian talent was brought in at the tail end of 2019 but his development did not match with mibr’s ambitions to win and now the youngster is left out sitting on the cold bench of the Brazilian team just six months into his tenure.

In mibr’s defense, trk feels like the right type of medicine for the organization’s complaints. The 24-year-old rifler has built a great CV with the only team he’s ever represented at the professional level – Team One. Trk has been the star of that team and stuck with his troops for the past four years, which is a rarity in today’s game.

Still, if you don’t want to wait on a young player’s development, why bring him in at all? Meyern is very young and he might still build a career for himself, but these several months on a win-now roster and potentially more time on the bench could very well hamper his confidence and as a result affect his future prospects.

The new member of mibr will have to adapt on the spot. His first test will come today at DreamHack Masters Spring North America versus countrymen FURIA Esports. FURIA had mibr’s number with meyern on the team, so a win for FalleN’s crew could be an early good sign.
