Breath of the Wild Gets First Person Mode

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has become the first Zelda game to be playable in first-person, courtesy of a newly discovered glitch. Once exploited, this glitch opens up a whole new way to play The Legend of Zelda.

This new exploit was discovered by Twitter user Axk_000, who managed to pull off the glitch very easily. The ease at which he jumps into first-person shows us that this new experience is within everyone's grasp. It's super impressive to behold, with more accurate shadows than Cyberpunk 2077 despite it being a glitch, and not a legitimate part of the game.

To jump into first-person mode in Breath of the Wild, you need to pull out the in-game camera, equip an item from the menu, and then cancel that equip. The game jumps into a really sweet first-person mode, with the camera realigned insanely accurately.

Could this perhaps be something that was already in the game, but canceled? Did Nintendo want to put a cool as f**k first-person mode in Breath of the Wild, and this dude just accidentally activated it? Whatever the reason, this is super cool, and we hope that Nintendo never patches it out of the game!

We are obsessed with Breath of the Wild, as are most people to be honest. It was one of the best Zelda games of all time, and a fantastic evolution of the formula. With this bug, you can experience all-new! Just keep in mind, it really limits your ability to navigate your environment.

Look, it might be less dodgy than pretty much everything in Cyberpunk 2077, but that doesn't say much... that game was f**ked! Seriously, look at the hilarious animations in the game's third-person mode. That is a WILD comparison (get it?). This bug looks better than... that.

The Switch might be lacking much new content now (though Apex Legends did launch on the Switch, and wasn't very good), but this is a great way to dust off your favorite console again and dive back in. Try to get as far through Breath of the Wild as you can in first person, we're super curious!
