The Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 3 SEA came to an end yesterday with Trust Gaming taking the champions' title. BOT TI also concluded.

BTS Pro Series Season 3 SEA

The BTS Pro Series Season 3 SEA featured a total of 10 teams. All of them came with a direct invitation and there was no clear favorite. Regional powerhouses like Fnatic, TNC, and BOOM along with some new teams. Among the latter was also Among Us, a squad made up from some of the best Dota 2 players the region had to offer23savage, Abed, Kuku, Jabz, and Whitemon.

Many suspected that the superstar lineup of Among Us will bring them victory and they were mostly right. The team headed the group stage by defeating everyone they came across except Neon Esports where it ended in a tie. Among Us were looking more and more like the favorites until the Upper Bracket finals where BOOM Esports managed to knock them down.

In the lower bracket, they met Motivate.Trust Gaming, a team they’ve already defeated earlier in the playoffs. Things went differently this time though as MTG took the series with a 2-1. This led the underdogs to the grand finals where they faced BOOM. Motivate.Trust Gaming’s streak wasn’t over as they stomped BOOM with a 3-1, earning the first-place title and $21,000 in prize money.

The winning roster consists of:

  • Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong
  • Poomipat "Fearless" Trisiripanit
  • Natthaphon "Masaros" Ouanphakdee
  • Worawit "Q" Mekchai
  • Anurat "boombell" Praianun

The team from Thailand proved they were the best at the BTS event and we’re hoping to see more of them in the upcoming months! Their next tournament will be Moon Studio Mid-Autumn League a SEA event with 19 participating teams where we’ll also find the likes of BOOM Esports, Neon Gaming, and others. The event is set to kick off on October 1 and will offer $55,000 in prize money. You can catch a Russian stream on the official Moon Studio Twitch channel.

It sure was nice seeing the run of Among Us in the BTS Pro Series but the team was created exclusively for the event. While Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon and Abed “Abed” Yusop are playing for Fnatic and EG respectively, the rest of the squad might choose to remain together and form a new team in the region. What do you think? Will we see a new top squad rise in the SEA region? Share your opinion on our Facebook page!

BOT TI

The International 10 might be almost a year away but BOT TI came to an end yesterday. The meme tournament featured five on five action with bots and it’s just as entertaining as last year. Check out the grand finals where the top three clashed! You'd never guess which bot won it!
