Natus Vincere is one of the most successful and recognizable names in Counter-Strike history. One of the few organizations to find success across multiple versions of the game is using that fact to set up a Showmatch for the literal ages - Na'Vi 2010 vs. Na'Vi 2020.

Na'Vi Bring Legends of Old and Stars of the Present Together

Natus Vincere's 2010 Counter-Strike 1.6 roster is universally recognized as one of the most dominant forces the game has ever seen - be it in 1.6, Source or Global Offensive. Now the 1.6 legends will have the opportunity to prove they still have something left in the tank.

Na'Vi 2010 is going up against Na'Vi 2020! The old dogs are challenging the new pups in a Showmatch that we knew we all wanted, but couldn't dream of actually seeing. The duel between the legends of old and the stars of now will be played on August 1, at 3pm CET.

The rosters will not be missing any of the key names, so the ten Counter-Strike maestros on the server are going to be:

Na'Vi 2010

  • Arseny "ceh9" Trynozhenko
  • Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev
  • Yegor "markeloff" Markelov
  • Sergey "starix" Ischuk
  • Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko

Na'Vi 2020

  • Kirill "boombl4" Mikhailov
  • Denis "electronic" Sharipov
  • Egor "flamie" Vasilyev
  • Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy
  • Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev

The all-Ukrainian 2010 squad played together for a few very successful years at the end of the 1.6 era but could not make the transition into CS:GO work and most of its members departed early into Na'Vi's CS:GO venture. Zeus and Edward were the exception to that, having only left the org for good in 2019, with Zeus retiring.

Now the old gang is back, even if just for a single game, and will try to show these youngsters how things were done back in the day. The Showmatch will be in a Bo5 format for maximum pleasure and will include 1.6 maps as well as CS:GO ones to make it an even field.

I'm easily excited by my own admission, but in this case so should be every Counter-Strike fan - old or new.
