LoL: Riot Presents the New Mythic Items for Season 11

Season 11 didn't just update the icons on some items but also added the so-called Mythic Items. What can these special items do and are they really OP?

As with every previous Season, Riot will make major changes in Season 11 that will fundamentally change the game. In Season 10 we got the Elemental Rifts with their elemental dragons. For Season 11, Riot is planning the so-called Mythic Items, which are especially strong and have unique effects. What is behind them and which items are already known?

Item Icons and Customizations

The fact that some items get slight changes, and the icons get prettier seems almost irrelevant when looking at the new Mythic Items. Nevertheless, we wanted to mention it once as the new look of the icons and the store is definitely worth seeing. Check it out for yourself.

The New Mythic Items

Some of the mythic items are completely new inventions, others are old familiar ones that have a little more power than before. There is one thing the items all have in common: the price-performance ratio is unbeatable, and they are truly unique value monsters.

The mythic items are virtually the end of the item food chain. With Season 11, Riot will divide the items into epic, legendary, and mythic according to their value. This is important because mythic items will have a special effect on your legendary Items. When we present the items we know so far, keep in mind that the stats and effects can be changed at any time and that Riot Games can use a long test phase with the preseason to Season 11 to tweak the values.

Crimson Shieldbow - 3400 Gold

  • +50 Attack Damage
  • +15% Attack Speed
  • + 20% Critical strike chance
  • +12% Life Steal
  • If you take damage that would lower your health below 30%, you will receive a shield of 150-500 for 3 seconds and 20% increased Life Steal for 8 seconds.
  • Mythic Passive: Empowers other legendary items with +8 Armor and Magic Resistance.

Behemoth Slayer - 3400 Gold

  • +60 Attack Damage
  • +25% Attack Speed
  • +20% Critical Strike Chance
  • Every third attack deals 80-240 (+ 30% bonus AD) as true damage.
  • Mythic Passive: Empowers other legendary Items with +5% critical strike damage.

Galeforce - 3400 Gold

  • +60 Attack Damage
  • +15% Attack Speed
  • +20% Critical Strike Chance
  • Active: Jump a short distance (not over walls) and deal 105-240 (+30% bonus AD) magic damage to the enemy with the least Health in your vicinity. The damage increases the lower your opponent's health points are.
  • Mythic Passive: Empowers other legendary items with 2% Movement Speed.

That looks very, very broken on paper at first. As we've already mentioned the stats and effects can be adjusted at any time and hey - at least everybody can walk around with the mythic items! Whoever gets a mythic item first has certain advantages and a real power spike. Another question we have to ask ourselves is: are the items of the ADCs really only used by ADCs? Basically, every champion has access to all mythic items - that can certainly change in the near future.

What do you think of the mythic items so far?
