The Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz led squad have swept both their series in the Thunderpick World Championship group stage. Yet to drop a map and showing good form, as they eye the LAN-finals in Berlin.

BIG are through to the advancement game!

Coming off the back of their first LAN grand final in years, back at ESL Challenger in Atlanta, earlier this month, the German squad continues to show signs of improvement.

They faced Russian side Aurora in their opening game. After a convincing 13-7 win on their map pick of Ancient, they also stole Auroras pick of Mirage, in overtime, 16-14.

They were helped off by an incredible performance of Jon "JDC" de Castro, who dropped 46 kills across the two maps.

JDC also helped them out big time on the opening map of their first place decider series versus Argentinian side Bestia:

On Bestias pick of Anubis, BIG had no issues closing out the map 13-6.

Then it was time for the longtime home map of BIG Clan, Dust 2. Once again, they struggled on the T-side of said map, winning just 5 rounds.

BIG also lost the second half pistol round and were struggling moneywise.

But they could rely on their most recent signing, Rigon "rigoN" Gashi, to help them out big time. He first clutched an eco-round at 5-8 down:

And then he produced one of the best clutches you will see all year.

At 11-11, when it was looking like BIG were on the back foot, facing overtime or even a third map. Pure class:

This was the neck-breaker for Bestia. BIG won the final round with ease and sealed a 13-11 victory, securing them first place in group D, as well as the chance of making the LAN finals in Berlin.

They will have one more series to win, on Saturday, to achieve that. They will face OG.

What do you think? Will BIG make it through to the LAN-finals in their hometown? Can they keep up this form and qualify for the Shanghai Major?
