When a rough time leads you to one of the hardest decisions in your life and you have to give up your pet, it's something that hurts you deeply. Tracy had to make this choice and reached out to YouTuber Lee Asher from The Asher House. Read here how his community manages to reunite Tracy and Dalia.
Lee Asher is a YouTuber with over 750,000 followers on his account, The Asher House. His content? Everything about his 240-acre rescue farm in Oregon. It's a huge sanctuary for dogs, cats, and livestock alike. Tracy gave up her dog Dalia to Lee as a last resort, because her living conditions made it impossible to keep her.
Help For Tracy
For the elderly woman Tracy, it wasn't an easy decision to give up her dog Dalia. Due to the divorce from her ex-husband, she had to give up her house and was only able to afford a trailer to live in from the money that came out of the sale.
For Dalia that meant a lot of restrictions. Limits that Tracy did not want to enforce any longer, because the only thing she wanted was for her dog to be happy.
She needed to be free and she needed to be able to run and so I reached out to The Asher House again.
Lee took Dalia in his care. Yet his community wasn't happy with that ending. On February 4, he posted a video on his YouTube channel. Once again meeting up with Tracy to offer her the help he and his community wanted to give her.
I know you don't like to accept help, but I really want to offer you some, and I know that my community would like to offer you help as well.
$100,000 To Reunite Tracy And Dalia
Lee Asher offered to help Tracy with a GoFundMe page. His own management paid $1,000 into it immediately, while The Asher House promoted the page within the YouTube video, which already has over 100,000 views.
The GoFundMe already reached its goal of $100,000, and the page is closed for now. On February 7, she posted an update, stating that all continued donations would be going towards the Asher House.

The story of Tracy and Dalia is one to be remembered. It shows how a community can achieve almost anything if everyone works towards one goal together. We hope that Dalia can reunite with her owner soon. If we have any updates regarding this, we will let you know, of course.
