A leaked trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has surfaced, but is it actually real, or just another AI-generated fake?

An Alleged Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Is Going Viral

An alleged trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday has leaked and is currently spreading rapidly across nearly all social media platforms. The clip features Chris Evans in his iconic role as Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America.

The trailer first shows Rogers riding a motorcycle before entering a house and gazing at his old Captain America suit. He is then seen holding a baby in his arms. At the end of the trailer, a title card appears announcing that Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday.

That would be major news, as Chris Evans’ time as Captain America in the MCU was widely considered to be over after Avengers: Endgame. The leaked trailer now calls that assumption into question. Avengers: Doomsday is currently expected to release on December 18, 2026.

However, especially in an era of increasingly sophisticated AI technology, the crucial question inevitably arises: is this trailer actually real?

A Leak With A Question Mark

There is now intense debate over whether the trailer is actually real. So far, the strongest indication of its authenticity is the fact that Disney appears to be actively trying to have the clip removed from various platforms. Such an approach would be rather unusual if it were merely a simple fake.

At the same time, an AI-generated version of the trailer also appears to be circulating, looking strikingly similar to the original and further complicating any assessment. A definitive answer regarding its authenticity therefore can't be given at this time. While several indicators point toward a genuine leak, caution is still advised in the absence of an official statement from Disney or Marvel.

Regardless, the trailer has already demonstrated one thing: interest in the MCU is still very much alive. Whether Avengers: Doomsday truly has the potential to give the franchise new momentum, however, will only become clear in the coming year.
