An expected comeback.

After more than two decades of complete silence between the two biggest forces in comics, Marvel and DC are finally crossing paths again. This time, the spotlight is on two characters who could not be more different: Batman and Deadpool.
Two Issues, Two Worlds
The crossover is split into two one–shot comics, with one published by Marvel and the other by DC. In the Marvel issue, set to drop in September, Deadpool takes on a job that leads him straight into the shadows of Gotham City. It doesn’t take long for him to clash with Batman, who is less than thrilled about an unpredictable assassin roaming his streets. What follows is a wild mix of action, insults and unpredictable twists.
A few months after Marvel’s issue, DC will release their own version of the story, written by Grant Morrison. If you don’t know him, he’s famous for writing comics that feel more like a trip than a regular storyline. The exact plot is still a secret.
A Historic Team–Up
It’s been a long time since Marvel and DC did something together. Their last big crossover was back in 2003 with JLA/Avengers, which a lot of fans still remember fondly. Since then, stuff like licensing issues and company politics made it hard for them to collaborate again. That’s why this new crossover feels really special, because it’s just rare to see both sides actually working together like this.

More Crossovers Are Coming
Right now, it’s not clear if this crossover is just a fun one time thing or the beginning of something more regular. But both Marvel and DC have mentioned that another collaboration is already being planned for 2026. They haven’t shared any details yet, no character names or creative teams, but it does seem like they’re open to doing more together in the future.
