Daredevil: Born again is ready for Season 2. We've got everything you need to know!
After a strong first season that reignited love for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, Daredevil: Born Again is returning for a second round.
Daredevil: Born Again Release Date Announced
Filming for Season 2 began in February 2025 and will continue through July. The season is set to include 8 episodes and is expected to premiere on Disney+. Showrunner Dario Scardapane announced the release date via Instagram: March 2026 as part of the MCU’s Phase 6.
From everything we’ve seen so far, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is going to be darker, bloodier, and even more emotionally charged than before. It’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated entries in the franchise.
Where The Story Left Off And What Season 2 Will Explore
The Season 1 finale of Daredevil: Born Again marked a major turning point for Matt Murdock. No longer just the masked vigilante, he stepped fully into his role as a hero and symbol – The Man Without Fear. Meanwhile, Wilson Fisk didn’t just remain the Kingpin of Crime; he ascended to the position of mayor, gaining control over both the streets and the system itself and established a corrupt anti-vigilante task force.
Season 2 will explore the fallout of that power shift, as Matt must find a way to bring down Fisk while also regaining the trust of a city that may no longer believe in heroes. With production underway, recent set photos teased Daredevil’s updated black suit – now sporting the iconic “DD” logo – and hinted at a darker, more symbolic evolution of his character.
The Full Cast Breakdown: Who's In for Season 2?
While some roles remain unconfirmed, many Season 1 cast members are already locked in for the upcoming eight episodes, and more names are expected to join as filming continues.
Season 2 brings back key characters that fans were hoping to see again: Charlie Cox slips back into the role of Matt Murdock, with Vincent D’Onofrio returning as Wilson Fisk — now both crime boss and mayor. Also confirmed: the comeback of Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), whom we'll unfortunately only see through flashbacks. Jon Bernthal is suiting up again as Frank Castle, and Michael Gandolfini is back as Fisk’s ambitious new ally.

New additions include Lili Taylor in a political role opposing Fisk. Matthew Lillard has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role, adding to the intrigue surrounding the upcoming season. Some fans believe Matthew Lillard might show up as a recognizable face from the comics, like the Owl or the Jester. Given Lillard’s range, he could easily pull off anything from a creepy villain to someone who adds a bit of twisted humor to the chaos.
The wait until 2026 might be long, but if the set photos and casting news are any indication, it’ll be worth every second. Did you like the first season? Let us know in the comments!
