David Dobrik's assistant uploaded a – to put it mildly – questionable video on his TikTok channel.

The 'A Day in the Life of...' format is a pretty popular TikTok trend.
However, in the case of David Dobrik's assistant, a post following this trend caused quite a stir.
A Day in the Life of David Dobrik's Assistant
A video was uploaded on David Dobrik's official TikTok channel, filmed from the perspective of his assistant, showing her (supposedly) going through a normal workday.
In the video, she does yoga in his garden, prepares his favorite breakfast, and drives with him in his Ferrari to look at real estate, stopping along the way so she can fill up the car, even though he's the one driving.
Afterward, they visit friends and play drinking games with them, and then it's off to pickleball practice.
To wrap up, she surprises David, who is already in bed, with burgers, which they then eat together in his bed.
What is the problem with the video? For one, she takes on tasks that shouldn’t really be part of an assistant's job, which many viewers perceived as "mothering".
Additionally, the two of them seem to be unusually close in the video, and their behavior clearly goes beyond a professional working relationship.
Critical Comments
The video consequently received criticism from the audience – here are a few comments:
Why does it feel like you’re his caretaker and he couldn’t live without you 😂 - senivas93
David Dobrik is a toddler that needs a nanny!? 💀 - kgproductions_
No hate, but you’re practically his mom/ girlfriend and you get paid… - this_guy_5

It kinda feels like they are together 👀 - antonioehrlich
Not David Dobrik's First Controversy

David Dobrik has been considered a controversial influencer for some time now, partly due to his behavior in his former influencer friend group, "Vlog Squad".
In February 2021, Seth Francois, a former Vlog Squad member, accused David Dobrik of sexual assault after he was tricked into kissing Jason Nash. Additionally, he felt pressured as the only Black member to participate in culturally insensitive content.
Shortly after the sexual assault accusation, in March 2021, Business Insider reported that a Vlog Squad member allegedly raped a drunken woman during a shoot in 2018.
Dobrik responded with a brief statement but did not directly address the allegations. As a result, he lost many sponsors and fans, and his YouTube channel was temporarily demonetized.
Additionally, in April 2021, Jeff Wittek released a documentary on YouTube titled Don't Try This at Home, in which he talked about a serious accident in June 2020.
While filming for Dobrik's comeback vlog, he swung from an excavator arm – that Dobrik was controlling – over a shallow lake.
After Corinna Kopf had almost fallen and accused Dobrik of going too far, Wittek was swung at high speed.
When Dobrik stopped abruptly, Wittek collided with the excavator and fell into the shallow water, sustaining serious head injuries.
Later, Wittek filed a lawsuit for $10 million against Dobrik for negligence and intentional harm.
Unsuccessful Comeback
At the moment, Dobrik is trying to regain popularity as an influencer, as noted by a comment under the assistant's TikTok:
This is definitely a pr stunt to make him likeable - bellaeat3
Judging by the comments, it seems this plan hasn't been successful. Instead, he's made himself even more unpopular with the video allegedly made by his assistant...
What do you think of the TikTok? Is it just fun entertainment, or does it seem a bit odd? Should David Dobrik even have a platform after all the scandals?
