In the Twitch stream it quickly becomes clear: Doja Cat’s room has turned into a figurine gallery.
For insiders it’s no surprise: Doja Cat is not only a musician and rapper, she also has a strong gamer side. She streams and plays on Twitch, and in one of her recent streams she casually opened up about her growing anime figure collection.
What A Cute Surprise
In her Twitch stream, the artist gives surprisingly personal insights into her gaming room and her expanding obsession with anime figures and collectibles. Between gaming sessions, including Overwatch, and relaxed snack breaks, she takes time to showcase her collection and openly talks about how the “cutesy” aesthetic has become part of her everyday life.
At the center are several figures of Hatsune Miku, including different versions of the iconic blue character, from Sakura editions to summer themed designs. What stands out most is the attention to detail, with small accessories like umbrellas, heart and flower elements, and carefully designed hair making the figures feel like true room enhancers that bring her space to life.
Doja Cat describes her collection as a mix of nostalgia, design appreciation and the excitement of randomness, especially through blind boxes where you don’t know which figure you will get. That surprise factor brings both joy and occasional frustration. Still, her collecting habit keeps growing, with figures, plushies and articulated models steadily taking over her room space.
Between gaming setup and playful aesthetics, she also shows other collectibles like plush toys, including character inspired designs and squishy style figures. Emotional attachment plays a big role, as she sometimes keeps figures paired together or even uses them as sleep companions.
Her setup itself is also part of the concept. She explains how she intentionally designs her room with decorative monitors, playful accessories and DIY elements like bows and lace details, creating a colorful and expressive environment.
