DougDoug is a famous streamer best known for his unique and fun chat interactions. He mods games in a way so that his Twitch chat can directly influence what is happening in the game.
Back in 2019, Douglas also started a yearly charity stream for the Monterey Bay Aquarium and their oldest sea otter, Rosa.
An Author Nonetheless
Now, he uploaded a video where he talks about his recent name change. The keen-eyed viewer noticed his name got a new suffix: DougDoug: A published Author. And that's because he wrote a book, more or less.
His book, called "Doug: A DougDoug Story", contains only the word Doug written over and over again. Every page is filled with Doug. On technicality, and for the comedy of it, he can now officially call himself an author – not of a good book, but a book nonetheless.
Not only that, but because I won a Streamer Award that one time like three years ago, technically I can introduce myself as an award-winning published author.
Doug even rented a fancy house with a waterfall to promote it like a legit book, "which it is".
I'm banging on the fact that nobody is actually going to read it.
While he doesn't actually want people to buy this book as it is just a comedic bit, what happens with the money of those who will eventually buy it?
The Monterey Bay Stream Is Back!
All the profits of this book will be donated to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. He also started his annual charity stream again. He will be live every day from September 10 to 14, where you can donate to ocean conservation.
DougDoug started his charities back in 2019 to celebrate Rosa's 20th Birthday, which he did every year. Over the years, he collected a sum of $420.000 for the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Rosa. Sadly, the oldest sea otter died last year at the age of 24, but DougDoug still came back this year to honor the legacy and for the good cause.
