If you're a fan of Evangelion, make sure to check out this new collaboration event between McDonalds and Neon Genesis Evangelion!

Leaks show that McDonalds will soon have a collaboration with Neon Genesis Evangelion, complete with mecha-figures that turn into food items from McDonalds.
The McDonalds and Evangelion collaboration
On December 17, McDonalds Japan teased an image on their social media platforms that simply read in bold text: "Notice."
What people quickly realized was the copyright at the bottom left of the picture, including Project EVA and Studio Khara – the animation studio that produced Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Only a day later, on December 18, a leak was posted onto Reddit displaying a poster that gave a few details on the collaboration.
The collaboration will start on January 20 and there will be three mechs from Evangelion available. The fun twist with these figures, however, is that they can turn into certain food items on the McDonalds menu: a Big Mac, fries, and a drink.
These figures will cost about $25 USD. Fans in Japan can actually use the McDonalds app to enter a lottery where they can get a chance to buy the figures.
The lottery will begin December 19, while the official purchasing time frame is from January 20 to January 26.

As of now, there is no sign of this collaboration being available outside of Japan, but considering that this isn't the first time that McDonalds collaborated with an anime project, there might be hope.
Committed fans of Evangelion might have to plan a spontanous trip to Japan, if they want to make sure to get their hands on these figures...
