Twitch is currently testing a new feature. "Gift 'Em All" sounds genuinely promising – especially for smaller streamers.

Everyone who regularly watches Twitch streamers has probably heard the streamer say something along the lines of: "XYZ, thank you for the sub!" And it's an important part of Twitch culture. Subbing to a streamer or even gifting the other viewers in chat subs is something that happens on a daily basis. Now, Twitch is testing a new feature for it. And "Gift 'Em All" could be a huge hit, especially for smaller streamers.

The New Feature "Gift 'Em All"

With a name that seems very reminiscent of Pokémon's "Gotta catch 'em all," Twitch hits the nail on the head: According to Dexerto, "Gift 'Em All" allows you to gift subs to every follower watching the stream in that moment. It does, however, cap at 1000. As of right now, the option only shows for desktop viewers and it seems as though it's still in the early stages.

Twitch is no stranger to implementing and testing new features to hopefully make their platform better, but this one in particular got a lot of people really excited – not only streamers but also viewers.

The Community's Reaction

Many people greatly appreciate this feature and wonder why the fact that the subs go to eligible viewers (viewers who are following and not currently subscribed) wasn't how it always worked, claiming that the distribution of gifted subs used to be a lot worse before. Though they claim this should have been implemented a long time ago, it also proves how necessary this step was.

It therefore makes a lot of sense why especially small streamers would get excited over this. A sub in a streamers chat gives you privileges that you otherwise wouldn't have had, so ideally for small streamers, if a sub gets gifted to an active viewer they might be more likely to return to their streams.

Other viewers are worried that this change will lead to them accidentally clicking that instead of something else and ending up spending a lot more money on a streamer than they initially wanted to. Most of the comments who were like that, however, were jokes, stating that you would have to be very rich to ever choose that option.
