RatedEpicz is known for his GTA 5 roleplay streams. As with most of the GTA RP streamers, his takes are often controversial. What's even more controversial is that he got permanently banned from Prodigy, one of the game's biggest RP servers, after he referred to to someone who forced a sexual assault RP onto him as "Erpstein".

The Glorification Of Crime

Under no circumstances is this an article about how great RatedEpicz is. Yet the most amazing part about this story is that it's hard not to side with him. GTA 5 RP is kind of known for being controversial and way over the top.

Crime gets glorified; sexual assault, rape, and murder are being role-played while the streamer or player is laughing behind their screen. It was practically the same situation for RatedEpicz. He and his partner were playing as police officers and were sent to investigate.

What unfolded at the scene was honestly disgusting to watch, and in my opinion, it is not something that can be hidden behind the "It's just roleplay!"-argument (Take it from a veteran DnD player).

This is so funny bro!

That's the comment the streamer made, while his character was actively being sexually assaulted by a bunch of people. Another fun fact: even though it seemed like RatedEpicz was enjoying it, even if he wouldn't have been okay with it, there's an interesting rule in place on this particular server.

The rule stated that every scene must be played out no matter what, to keep immersion intact. Afterwards there's the option to file a complaint when you didn't feel good in that scene. I don't think I have to explain why this is problematic.

The Reference That Got Him Banned

The streamer referred to this situation as the "Ricky-Files" and "ERPstein", which did not sit right with the mods. They banned him permanently for the remarks regarding this, while Ricky Rizz, the one who roleplayed the sexual assault, only got 7 days.

Allegedly he's friends with the server owner, so there's probably some type of friendship bonus involved.

Yet this is something that needs to be talked about. The GTA RP scene has been viewed as weird by many for years. Yet this content is getting published via Twitch and other platforms. Crime is laughed about, and the Epstein files are used as a hollow joke.

Roleplay is something a lot of streamers hide behind, yet it should never be something that makes another person feel uncomfortable. Maybe this is a learning for RatedEpicz, and hopefully for some of you as well.
