Even as the situation escalates into a high-speed police chase, the character refuses to stop broadcasting to his viewers. It is a quick, sharp satire about the extreme lengths modern creators will go to for views, and it has already given fans plenty to talk about.

Rockstar Games has mocked fame before. Grand Theft Auto 5 parodied superstars and celebrity culture, from paparazzi and tabloid magazines to the reality-TV talent show Fame or Shame. With GTA 6, the streamer trapped in the trunk suggests online creators are the next target for that trademark satire. Lucia’s discovery takes direct aim at influencer sensationalism, asking why anyone would stop streaming when something outrageous is happening.
