Drive, glance, crash – a normal IRL stream in LA, then something happens nobody expected.
A Kick streamer from Los Angeles is making headlines after he didn’t just witness a serious car crash live – he jumped into action immediately and helped the victims. The incident happened on January 18 in downtown Los Angeles, while streamer “Conner” was driving through the city during an IRL broadcast.
IRL streams are meant to let a community share everyday life – whether it’s traveling, grabbing coffee, or, like Conner, driving through the city center. But sometimes these live broadcasts take an unexpected turn. Conner, who has more than 21,000 followers on Kick, was heading toward the Hilton DoubleTree near Little Tokyo when he saw a dark sedan run a red light and collide with an oncoming white van.
At first, it looked like the sedan was slowing down. But instead of stopping, the driver pushed through the intersection and slammed into the van head-on. The impact was so strong that the van spun out and flipped onto its side, landing in the middle of the crosswalk.
Streamer Helps After Crash
Both Conner and his viewers were immediately shocked. Without hesitation, Conner grabbed his phone and called 911. He then ran into the street to assist the people involved. The situation was especially dramatic because the van driver became trapped inside the vehicle until emergency crews arrived. Thankfully, first responders reached the scene quickly.
Conner also offered one of the paramedics the dashcam footage recorded in his Tesla. The video clearly shows the sedan braking briefly before continuing through the intersection and hitting the van. Those recordings could prove crucial for the accident investigation, as they document the sequence of events.

The streamer is known for often traveling with a police scanner and listening to police radio during his drives. Interestingly, he had just come from the site of another serious crash shortly before this incident.
Community Praises Conner For Quick Action
On social media, Conner is now being praised for his calm and quick response. On X, one user wrote that he “deserves an award.” Others emphasized how important it is that someone calls emergency services in such a situation – not everyone would automatically think to do so. On Reddit, viewers commented that it was reassuring to see someone assess the situation correctly and take action to help.
The incident is part of a growing number of similar crashes that streamers have captured (or caused) live in recent months. In some cases, streamers even stopped to protect victims, direct traffic, or alert emergency responders. This case is another reminder of how quickly an ordinary stream can turn into a serious emergency – and how important it is to take responsibility in those moments.
