Dana's show The Owl House fell victim to corporate decisions. Is she now shooting back?

Knights of Guinevere is the upcoming show by the now famous studio Glitch that recently gained a lot of hype with their show The Amazing Digital Circus. The show is created by Dana Terrace and her The Owl House alumni, Zach Marcus and John Bailey Owen.
The show's pilot episode will release on September 19, which they revealed in their most recent trailer. But the trailer also tells us more about the setting and the narrative. Could Dana's next story be a critique of Disney and the industry?
What Happened?
First and foremost, let's address what went down between Dana and Disney. While The Owl House was very popular, Disney didn't see what they had with the show. They wanted to cancel the show because they didn't think it matched the brand of the company.
When I watched the show, it fell into the same category as Gravity Falls for me. A cartoon with a cute look that is great for all ages as it explores darker topics and follows a well-structured, great narrative. The Owl House even had great LGBTQ+-representation.
Not only is the main character gay, there are many implementations of the rainbow, which felt excitingly natural and organic in the narrative.
But nevertheless, Disney canceled the show but Dana was able to finish the story in three longer special episodes. Afterwards, Glitch approached Dana Terrace and offered her and her co-creators to develop a new show without any restrictions – and that's what Knights of Guinevere is.
Knights of Guinevere – What's It About?
Knights of Guinevere is all about a "planet-wide amusement park in the clouds! ... And the shadows beneath it, where a broken Princess Android might be two dreamers’ tickets to better lives, or the end of them".
While watching the trailer, I couldn't help but think that this is comment on the current state of Disney. A park that is all about amusement and fun is completely broken down and even the mascot, a princess, is turned into an android-husk of herself.
Knights of Guinevere is a psychological thriller that welcomes you to a planet-wide theme park in the clouds!... And the shadows below, where a broken Princess Android is two dreamers' tickets to better lives, or the end of them. :3 pic.twitter.com/4AzSbA4gqD

This along with the "dreamer" narrative tells me that this could be a story about how corporate greed corrupts and amalgamates art while companies are putting on a family-friendly face to cover up darker circumstances.
The trailer even starts with the words "Once upon a time" and refers to a princess in a tall tower. So maybe the references to Disney are less subtle and more on the nose than one might expect.
We will have to wait to understand what the show's deeper meaning and story will be, but it already looks like the creators of The Owl House were finally able to create something without limitations. It looks gory, mature and intense. And I am absolutely on board.
Do you think Disney is falling behind the more mature productions of Glitch and other studios?
