Kai Cenat hasn't streamed in months, but his legacy is still untouched.
Streaming 24/7 for 30 days straight is no small feat, but for Kai Cenat, Mafiathon 3 clearly paid off.
Mafiathon 3 Leaves The Competition Far Behind
Subathons have by now become a well-established practice in streaming. Even small or mid-sized creators host these events, as they can be highly profitable. However, with his Mafiathon 3 in September 2025, Kai Cenat shattered virtually every metric in the book.
Mafiathon 3 became the most-watched subathon by a significant margin, according to StreamCharts. The stream accumulated a staggering 85.23 million hours watched. In comparison, the second-place finisher, JasonTheWeen, recorded 12.03 million hours. That means Cenat generated roughly seven times the watch time of his closest competitor.
While doing so, he also brought in 1,112,947 subscriptions to his channel, and naturally, the revenue followed. Since subscription prices vary by region and tier, and Twitch takes a 50 percent cut, the exact amount is uncertain. Estimates suggest his earnings ranged from close to one million dollars to as much as 3.2 million dollars.
With numbers like these, even StreamCharts described the event in unusually direct terms:
“Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 is an outlier.”
They further mentioned that it would take an event of extraordinary scale to surpass that level of engagement. In other words, breaking those numbers would not just require another subathon. It would require a cultural moment big enough to pull millions of viewers back in for weeks at a time. For now, it seems unlikely that anyone will challenge that record in the near future.
However, there is one obvious candidate that could match the scale being discussed. The launch of GTA VI is expected to become one of the biggest entertainment events of the decade. A release of that magnitude could easily generate the kind of sustained attention needed to rival Mafiathon 3. And if that moment arrives, it would not be surprising to see Kai Cenat step back into the spotlight with another large-scale broadcast. Whether that happens remains to be seen. But if it does, it would almost certainly be worth watching. Just please do not let it be 2027.
