A streamer has spoken out after arrest on suspicion of attempted murder following a domestic violence call.
Kick streamer and TikTok creator Santos Salazar has broken his silence after spending several days in a Los Angeles jail following his arrest on suspicion of attempted murder.
Salazar, 21, was taken into custody on August 13 after Los Angeles police responded to a reported domestic violence incident at a residence connected to him and fellow creator Brianna Olsen. He was initially booked into jail with bail set at $1 million.
The arrest came only weeks after Salazar and Olsen welcomed their son, Sunday Ray, having regularly shared updates about their lives as new parents on social media.
Santos Salazar Released After Charges Were Not Filed
Salazar was released from custody on August 17, four days after his arrest. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office declined to file criminal charges at that time, though the case was referred back to law enforcement for further investigation.
Following his release, Salazar posted a TikTok alongside his attorney, Nicholas Rosenberg, addressing the situation for the first time.
“I am feeling very blessed and grateful to be with my family again,” Salazar said, adding that he intends to take his release seriously while thanking his legal representation.
Rosenberg claimed the situation stemmed from a “domestic disagreement” that had been exaggerated by an eyewitness. The attorney confirmed he had contacted the DA's office requesting that prosecutors decline to file charges or pursue lesser offenses.
Brianna Olsen Calls Arrest a “Big Misunderstanding”
Olsen has also publicly defended Salazar, describing the arrest as a “big misunderstanding” and stating he was being accused of something he did not do.
She dismissed online rumors regarding a potential restraining order, noting that the couple preferred to keep the details private while focusing on their newborn son. Before Salazar's release, Olsen had shared footage showing him being escorted away by officers while reassuring followers that she and their child were safe.
Authorities have not publicly detailed the specific evidence behind the initial attempted murder suspicion, and the investigation remains open. As the DA's office has not filed formal charges, the allegations remain unproven.
