As Sneako walks down the streets of New York, he gets attacked and thrown to the ground. In a later stream he voices his suspicion that this attack could have been premeditated.

Who Is Sneako?

Sneako, or Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy, is a 27-year-old American streamer and YouTuber known for his controversial political takes. He started his career on YouTube by getting into right-wing trolling like asking white people on the street to say racial slurs for one dollar. He would also host discussions on why men and women are not equal among similar themes.

He was banned multiple times from YouTube, from Twitch for "hateful conduct" and from TikTok for promoting violent misogynistic content.

The Attack

In April 2026, Sneako was livestreaming on Kick like he normally does. He was walking down the streets of New York talking to his chat about "gooners" deserving to be publicly executed. He looks at his phone when all of a sudden a man wearing a Dr.Pepper shirt comes up to him and immediatly and violently takes him into a chokehold, both of them falling to the concrete. The camera goes down to the floor and shouting can be heard. It is picked up just a few seconds later and the last thing that can be seen before the stream cuts off is the cameraman running.

Approximately one hour later, Sneako posted on X stating that he was unharmed and intended to resume streaming.

It Was A Set Up?

Upon returning to his livestream just a few hours after the attack, Sneako shows his teeth with one of his front teeth clearly broken off. Apparently it was a tooth filling from two years ago that got hit. He then proceeds to explain the situation further.

He assures his viewers that he is fine and did not get knocked out but police came. Sneako tells his chat that he thinks this attack was premeditated.

I'm just gonna be completely honest about everything. I'll say this: This was a hundred percent… It's gotta be a setup.

He recounts that after he got hit a few times and then got up with the help of his cameraman getting the attacker off of him, the man immediately took out a mace and pepper-spayed Sneako directly in the face. He then ran away.

The streamer explains his suspicions of premeditation by stating that it would otherwise not make sense for the attacker to be ready and have his weapon on hand like he did. Furthermore, right after the attack, a group of five people supposedly stepped out of a building and Sneako states that it seemed like they knew that this attack was going to happen.

I have several ideas about who it could be but I'm not gonna… There is no point in speculating.

His chat, however, of course doesn't let that stop them and they do speculate on who it could have been.

Yeah I don't know who but what i think: I think somebody paid a guy to do that.

He repeatedly assures viewers that he is fine but also declares that he will not be doing IRL streams without security anymore. Sneako then preaches for freedom of speech, unity and god, when he gets a message to come to the police station. He complains about police being very slow and decides to go to the precinct after the stream and his planned interview.

He turns all this into a debate about gun laws by claiming that in Florida, something like this would never happen because people know that you can carry a gun there. He claims that in New York, because of stricter gun laws, law abiding citizens are at a disadvantage because criminals have weapons like that pepper spray and he had nothing to defend himself.

He then reacts to other people reacting and responding to the clip of his attack.

He also uploaded all this to YouTube.

While some people support Sneako and are just happy he is okay, others think he deserved it. Whether you like Sneako or not, just punching and pepper-spraying him on the street is not the way to deal with him. Violence is not the answer. If looser gun laws are the answer here is also questionable, though. If the attacker or Sneako would have carried a gun, this interaction could have ended much worse, maybe even deadly, so let's just be glad that they did not have guns and that everyone is okay and nothing worse happened. If the attack really was set up or not remains uncertain but Sneako repeatedly teases more footage and claims to "deal with the situation", whatever that means.
