The beloved animated series returns with new episodes. Fans of the show, which originally ran from 1997 to 2010, are now being welcomed back into the world of Arlen, Texas.

What We See In the New Trailer

The trailer is brief, but it captures the tone of the original series well. Hank appears just as calm and critical as ever, observing the world in his quiet, matter of fact way. Peggy remains self–assured, even when she is clearly wrong, and Bobby still has the same slightly odd but endearing personality. The animation has been updated and looks more polished.

The Story Moves Forward

According to official details, Hank and Peggy have spent the last few years living and working in Saudi Arabia, where they sold propane and propane accessories on a corporate base. After saving up for retirement, they are back in Arlen, reconnecting with familiar faces like Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is now in his twenties and living in Dallas, where he is trying to build a career as a chef. He is still in contact with Connie, Joseph and Chane, which suggests that younger characters will continue to play a role in the story.
