A single "joke" was enough to put Drututt in the middle of a Twitch debate.
League of Legends streamer Drututt has received a seven-day Twitch ban after a tag in his stream title was flagged by the platform.
How The Ban Happened
Drututt was live on Twitch playing League of Legends when viewers noticed the hashtag NOWOMEN in his stream title. Twitch moderators flagged the phrase as misogynistic, and not long after, his channel was hit with a one-week suspension.
Drututt later explained that the tag was meant as a self-directed joke about himself and how he “gets no women,” not as an insult toward anyone else. According to him, the context behind the joke was misunderstood, which ultimately led to the ban. The timing made things worse, as the suspension occurred right at the start of the new league season, a time when many creators see increased viewership and engagement.

Got nuked for having a hashtag NOWOMEN on my stream, right next to tags like RANGEDTOP and UGLYIRL
They said its misogynstic when the tags purpose was to poke fun at an uglyirl streamer who gets NO WOMEN in his life.

Mixed Reactions Across The Community
The response online was split almost immediately. Some fans argued that Twitch should have issued a warning instead of handing out a ban, especially since Drututt said the joke was aimed at himself.
"Meanwhile people get banned for less time for sexual assault and shop lifting, make it make sense."
Others felt that Twitch rules are clear and that even ironic jokes about yourself can still break platform guidelines.
"It's okay if you meant it as a joke but you have to understand it could have more meanings behind it, their action is justified, you could've used similar terms like nogirlfriend or maidenless"
For Drututt, the ban is temporary, and he will be able to return to streaming once the suspension ends. Still, the situation highlights how quickly a single joke can turn into a larger controversy on Twitch, especially when it comes to language and interpretation.
