There's more going on on the set of Stranger Things than fans see on screen.
While many of you are currently immersed in the new season of Stranger Things, an unexpected fun fact from the stars' real lives is making the rounds.
Set Love In Hawkins
We often hear that chemistry in front of the camera turns into real feelings with actors and actresses falling in love (for real!) on set. But sparks can fly off-camera too: stunt doubles and voice actors sometimes become real-life couples when working closely together creates intimacy.
That's exactly what happened with Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) and Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers). The two Stranger Things actors met in 2015 while auditioning for the Netflix series, started dating shortly after, and are still together ten years later.
But they're not the only lovebirds on set. Their two stunt doubles are also a couple: they met during filming a few years ago and will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary on December 11, 2025, after seven years together. At the time, the stuntwoman wrote sweet words on Instagram:
“I started working on Stranger Things Season 3 as Jessica Hill, and now I'm Jessica Jenkins. I met my husband on set and many of my favorite people. Good things happen in Hawkins, too.”
Fictional Chemistry Becomes Reality
Stories like these prove that love on set is no exception. And even for voice actors, close collaboration can quickly turn into genuine affection. A classic example is Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor, who voiced Mickey and Minnie Mouse for decades.
They met at work, fell in love, and eventually got married. This is particularly fascinating for fans: the fictional chemistry between the characters is suddenly reflected in real life.
And what about Charlie and Natalia? Will he pop the question soon after ten years together? Maybe they're already engaged or have even secretly gotten married. The two deliberately like to keep their relationship private. We're excited to see what little insights the stars of Hawkins still have in store for us.
