In their latest announcement regarding the third season of One Piece, Netflix reveiled the cast behind two fan-favorites, Ace and Bon Clay.
Netflix has recently announced two new actors for the upcoming third season of the One Piece live-action series, based on the famous anime and manga from Eiichiro Oda.
Filming for Season 3 is already underway, and fans are eager to see the new faces of the cast. Now, Netflix has revealed the actors joining the series as Ace and Bon Clay.
Sailing Into Season 3
The first season of the One Piece live-action adaptation was released in 2023. Season 2 is set to premiere in March 2026. However, work on Season 3 has already started, with filming taking place in Cape Town, South Africa.
Season 3 will most likely adapt the “Alabasta” arc from the original story, in which Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and the others meet Ace for the first time. A release date for the new season has not yet been announced.
Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace
Portgas D. Ace is one of the most beloved One Piece characters, so fans were especially curious about who would play him in the live-action series.
Netflix has now confirmed that Xolo Maridueña, best known for his leading role as Miguel Diaz in Cobra Kai, will take on the role.

Ace has superhuman Devil Fruit powers. He ate the Flame-Flame Fruit, which allows him to create and control powerful fire and fans are excited to see how Maridueña will bring this character to life.
Cole Escola as Bon Clay
In another exciting announcement, Netflix revealed that Cole Escola has joined the Season 3 cast as Bon Clay (Mr. 2), who is also a fan-favourite. With a flamboyant personality, loyalty, and humor, Bon Clay possesses the ability to transform into an exact replica of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand.

Netflix praised Escola as “a master of performance and precision,” a fitting description for an actor taking on such a theatrical and complex role. Fans can look forward to seeing how Escola brings Bon Clay’s vibrant energy to life on screen.
